Mesopotamian Empire - A Dark Age
It appears that organized society within the villages may have been breaking down due to famine and drought. Many settlements had been abandoned for this reason. So it does appear that the acadian empire became a comparatively lawless society. This is sometimes referred to as a mesopotamian ark age, although there are a number of periods during Mesopotamian history called a dark age. The gotians appear to have had very little interest in establishing a stratified empire. They just seemed to have wanted the spoils of battle victory.
