Gabe and I both have our own triggers. We're hurt in the present, but that hurt is pushing on something a little bit deeper than what's happening in the here and now. The shame that you're feeling isn't just about the shame that's happening. It might be 10, 15% about the Shame that you're feel right now, but there's about 85%. That's about something beyond Gabe, something that you have to deal with on your own. And so much of healing from the past is having enough space to consider other options.
