Is It a Personality Trait of Trust That Drives Trust?

If you live in an uncorrupt society, you have much more trust. Conversely, if there's high levels of corruption, like who can you trust? You cannot trust your fellow person, right? Because that person can essentially use the institutions against you and bribe her his way into having a better treatment than yourself. So for example, if we trust the state and we trust the police, if we Trust politicians, then we also tend to mean more trusting of other people.
