The Flood Story of Gilgamesh in the Old Testament

The bible's flood story has striking similarities to the gilgamish flood story. It may well be that the earlier stories of the hebrew bible are the same stories recorded in cuniform on tablets in sumeria. Gilgamesh is a king of the city of uruk, and this information is supported by his presence on the sumerian king lists asa of uruk. Through analysis of all information available, it is believed that gilgamesh may have been alive and ruling ook around two thousand 600 b c e.
