The Implications of Race in America
David Perry is a third generation Japanese American. He says he was raised to think of himself just like white people, but then started learning more about race in America. His parents were imprisoned by the U.S. government during World War II; they never talked about their experience. Perry: The dichotomous nature between what white America says and what black and African American experiences have been is where some of the dividing lines exist in this country.
