The Beginning Is Not the Easiest Part
i always think of writing as more of a long term investment, which it sounds like that's what the studies have affirmed. The beginning is not the easiest part. It hurts, because you're looking at something that you were ignoring. So even if you're not ready to do that, to just look again at whatever that scary thing is, drag it into the light. That's the first step right on the path to healing. And so i also tell, especially women that i work with young women, i work predominantly from girls who have experienced really challenging life stories.
