Dr. William Lane Craig vs Dr. Lawrence Krauss
In the Arena: The Debates and Lectures of William Lane Craig
The Importance of Knowing the Cause
Dr. Craig argued that we know the universe isn't contingent, it had to exist. How does he know that? I don't know that; how do we know that? We don't know the answer. It's saying not to know the answer is exciting because it means there's a lot to learn. To argue that from some basic principle, we knows the universe had to exist is myopic in the extreme. Or perhaps in his opinion, intellectual lazy. Well, God of the Gats is not a good evidence for God. It's not also good evidence for sound thinking.
