Creto: The Knowledge of the Art of Happiness
Socrates asked Creto what knowledge was that would enable us to pass the rest of our lives in happiness. He said he knew many things, but not anything of much importance. But if you know one thing, I know all, for I cannot be knowing, and not knowing, at the same time. And if I know all things, I must have that knowledge as well. We are just as far, if not farther, than ever, from the knowledge of the art or science of happiness. If we put aside the results of politics as they are called,. why, here, is iteration, as I said.
