David's Adventures in the Cave

David was the first king of the Israelites, one of the more tortured three-dimensional figures in the Old Testament. He distinguished himself early on by besting the Philistine champion Goliath and then beheading him. One man was not happy to see the handsome new kings assent to power: Saul. As David acquired more and more wives, Saul worked to estrange his own daughter from David - who married her for a dowry of a hundred foreskins.
