The Anglo-American Colonization of All to California

All to California has been settled by the Spanish at that point, but it's mostly a coastal phenomenon. As part of this settlement of the area, which takes place during the 1850s, early 1860s, you also have some of the worst colonial massacres of American history going on in California. And so you have the synthesis of grassroots murder militias, a bunch of guys getting out and lynching their way to prosperity with the US federal government.
