SAPS Model - Status, Access, Power and Stuff
Gabe Seicherman has developed a framework called SAPS or SAP's model to help organizations design effective gamification strategies. Status can be used to create a sense of accomplishment and reward people for their contributions. Access refers to the exclusivity or special privileges that are granted to people as a result of their actions. And stuff refers to the tangible rewards such as prizes, merchandise, swag, discounts, etc. For some individuals, status in a membership program can be a significant motivator.
