i started climbing at age 18, and i felt that way. I've got a and i didn't rally discover training and hang boarding until probably my mid twenties. Coaches like me used to get shot down in flames for saying, like, the beginners should use hang boards. It was always like, you'll definitely get injured. But it's much less likely to injure you than climbing. So thou you just can't construct argument that hang boarding isn't safe for beginners.
