Hekland Confessed to Raping and Killing Pinella Hellgrian

Hekland had attended Folloon Street Festival on Sunday, June 4. He was heading back to his car in the early hours when he spotted Pinella Hellgrian walking down the road. They struck up a conversation during which Hekland claimed Pinella invited him back to her mother's house for sex. When detectives informed Hekland of this revelation, he requested a private conversation with his lawyer. Afterwards, he told the detectives that what had happened that summer had been gnawing away at him for eight years.
