The Importance of Style in Bouldering Training

A big one for me is I try to get people when training to think in terms of style of problem and style of movement rather than just grade. If the holds face each other, like if I can squeeze between them, whether it's like full on refrigerator compression or if it's just sort of I can create opposition,. Whether that's with my hands or with my legs, I feel way, way stronger than sort of basic kind of crimp flattering or just kind of tugging on holds in that way. You want to play to your strengths when you're performing. And so I think that that's really important for people to think about in their training.
