Introduction

Elizabeth Warren is proposing once again her ultra-millionaire tax act. It's a two percent tax on household wealth exceeding 50 million and an additional one percent tax on wealth exceeding one billion. There is no chance of this thing passing, not the house let alone the Senate. For people who are concerned about budget deficits that sounds like good news but it would do nothing to eliminate the federal government's deficit.
