The Difference Between Effort and Unforgettableness in Confucianism

Zhuangzi, one of the key texts within the Taoist tradition, sees Confucian moral conventions as artificial. But Martin Palma pointed out in his opening remarks that there was a difference. If there was a boulder in the stream, Confucianism would say remove it. And the Taoists would say that the water run around it underneath it and eventually A, the water will keep going and B, the boulder will be eroded anyway.
