Trees and the 20th Century Climate Crisis

The world's forest s have been migrating in this way for millions of years. But the 20 first century climate crisis has greatly diminished the ability of trees to move effectively. The earth now has an atmospheric c o two concentration of 419 parts per million, the highest the planet has seen in three to five million years. Seven of the ten most common species of tree are predicted to have moderate to severe reductions in suitable habitat within a century.
