God, I Will Delight You in the Lord, and He Will Grant You the Desires of Your Heart
The number one verse that gets quoted when it talks about this expectation of singleness is psalm 37 four. It says delight yourself in the lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. But god is calling us to spiritual desires. Marriage is still desire of the earthly kingdom, not the heavenly kingdom.
