Logic Machines, Moral Intuition

The promise of these machines is that they will be much more like intuitive knowledge systems than like logic machines. The way in which we actually do learn about the world, whether its common sense knowledge or even sophisticated physics, involves a tremendous amount of intuitive knowledge. And so philosophy can try to help give us insight into what is that set of capacities.
