Is Higher Inflation Correlative With Higher Interest Rates?

I love the idea of it being a political phenomenon rather than a phenomena. But i want to push back on one aspect of this and then ask you to explain something a little bit more that i don't entirely understand. Pension funds are in crisis in part because they can't earn a good return on their n their bond holdings. A lot of retires to day, i think, live on unfixed income.
