Changing the Energy Density of a Meal

The key to reducing energy density of a meal is making the easy swaps first. "I started replacing some of my white rice that I eat with rice cauliflower," he says. If you're just bringing in a tiny bit of food with low energy density, it's probably not going to matter all that much. But as the energy density starts getting really, really high for that meal, it probably means that we're more likely to overeat because that volume signal is not going to cut us off ahead of time.
