What Was Eye Opening for You as a Screenwriter?

The film is written in the first person, and i found that a film kind of can't be in the firstperson. This was a story about a 18 age boy who was really, like, you know, not great at observing other people. And he kind of gets there by the end, but, um, he's not seeing them very fully. So in the book we don't have as much sense of them as we have to in the movie. It just made me discover these other characters a more deeply, because im yet fill making requires you to do that.
