The Importance of Sensitivity and Specificity in Adolescent With Low Back Pain

A spondie is going to present very similar to a musculoskeletal low back pain. Pain in their back, it can be usually focal right on that L5 going right across the back. They may have pain with sports, but so do our other kids with back pain. You may hear about some special tests, like the single leg hyper extension tests. But basically, all that tells us is the patient has pain while standing on one leg and bending backwards. It really has poor sensitivity and specificity.
