A Cale in Lothagam, Kenya
Lothagam, 15 miles north of morisipo hill, lies the dark ridge line that is visible from acale's home. This basalton sandstone pomontory known as lothegam is cast adrift some miles to the east of a continuous spine of volcanic highlands. It includes moresipo, where the range widens then tapers before making a broad eastward turn towards lake tecana and the laureo hills of acale's childhood. Lothagam's striking isolation has drawn people for millennia. It is a place replete with history, a palamsest of lives lived, if you know where and how to look.
