Are There Lessons to Take From the History of Progress?

i think we should take it very seriously that ideas on this level do affect a things. It seems to take decades for ideas to go from their originators, often in academia or or some other intellectual form. And so i think if you are working on that kind of thing, you should expect to be playing a very long game.
