Harry Houdini's Life Story
Robert Houdin, the first magician to saw a woman in half, was an entirely fictional character cooked up by Robert Houdin. If we trust Houdini's writing, he was crushed when he discovered that his mentor had not been what he seemed. But Harry Houdini should have known better because magicians are liars. He dedicated many years of his life to exposing those who would use the liar's toolkit for immoral ends.
