Electric Eel for Headaches, Is It Real?
If you've got epilepsy, then you just need to drink some gladiator blood. If you're bitten by a scorpion or a snake, eat human earwax from someone who's been injured. The other thing that was more widely available and probably more sensible than electrigating yourself with an eel would have been plant-based cures. There were no centralized medical association that issued medical licenses. Patients really had to rely on word of mouth reputation.
