How to Teach Ampathy in a Novel

So for example, if we want to teach ampathy our students, or if we want them to become more ampathetic,. one is to find something that we all can share in common and universalize it. And then around that we can build a deeper understanding of each other. That will be the kind of peragogy that invites students comments, invites their emotions, and doesn't really chastise them when they don't give the right answer.
