The Flaming Ship
The flaming ship's existence has been described as a fate morgana, or attributed to phosphorescent marine life in the water. Those who have seen it though believe it defies scientific explanation. Its presence can mean anything, from an omen of bad luck, to the impending arrival of a storm. A witness named Peter Foyt said usually it is a sailing vessel wrapped in flames.
