The Ethics of Teaching and Research, Is That Fair?
i'm also pushing back on other kinds of pedagogy that i think teach an unhealthy relationship to issues like luck. The most extreme version will be discussions of things like grit, which is this sort of very conservative idea of building up some one's will power and resiliance in an unjust society. It seems like our basic understanding of morality makes it absurd to hold anybody responsible for anything, right? And the answers just like always, just yes.
