The Indictment of Donald Trump and Boris Johnson
I hear polls indicate that the indictment actually boosted support for Trump amongst Republicans. Newsweek had him up from 44% approval for the preferred candidates before the charges were announced, 56%. So is this the kind of permanent victim bond scenario working for him? Or is it literally the case that whatever you do, so Trump just makes him stronger? Yeah. Well, yeah. But I mean, let's not pretend, and I'm not holding out the US as the only place where this is the case, that the higher up the tree you are, the less likely you are to do time. How many senior British politicians can you think of who've seen the inside of a jail cell? Chris H
