Plants Need Phosphorus for Growth

When there's too much nitrogen, you'll see the plants usually grow thick and bushy with dark leaves. Phosphorus is a crucial element for root and fruit development but not enough can lead to stunted growth. Potassium blocks the flow of other nutrients like calcium, magnesium, and nitrogen. When potassium levels are low within a plant, many of the green new growth branches will begin to hollow out as water pressure is left unchecked.
