egypt's irrigation civilization is very continuous. It basically starts from early on, a maybe around the fourth millennium b c, up to the twentieth century. The main difference between the nile valley and the tigris and euphrates valley, is that the erugatian civilization came to a halt and started to deteriorate after about six thousand years. After the ninth century, we see the rise and fall of many different dynasties on political formations. But most of those political formations would not last for too long to change the situation of the region in any durable or meaningful way.
