Do You Think You're Doing Less Clinical Medicine?
I would have to cut down significantly on the amount of clinical times that I'm spending in order to try and become better at policy work. The dream is to be able to do both of those things but it's really hard to be excellent at policy and excellent at clinical practice because they're fairly different skill sets which require a lot of time to master. If more physicians were maybe willing to step back and see the big picture of tobacco and smoking like maybe they all would have focused on making sure that that's more regulated as opposed to trying to treat patients after the damage has already been done.
