The Conjugation of the Woman in the Garden
The human body and its male, female complementarity has what John Paul II calls a spousal attribute. It directs the person to the other in a gift of self. Men and women through their bodies are able to live this gift with each other in a unique way. The physical differences between the sexes are ordered to procreation. But for St. John Paul II, the body's value goes beyond biological procreation to the expression of love and communion.
