In the movie, we get a literal vision of the future. We're still sin and I really love this. This isn't the greatest thing. There's nothing precipitating this. It's not like things have gotten pear shaped international affairs style. Stelson just like guts up one night and is like, I've decided I'm going to press the button. And so basically Johnny spends a little bit of time in both the book and the movie kind of debating whether can you justify taking a life to save the world.
