Is There a Threat to the Future of the World?
Since the seventies and especially the 80 has been a form of capitalism which i think has always prioritized the ideological over the practical. Any idea of profound change is a threat, because the entire defence of the system is based on the fact that any nothing else would really be possible. So as a result, you have to sort of balance between the need to constantly say, yes, we are technologically progressing,. and subtly saying, actually, any real major change couldn't happen.
