The Paradox of Rising on the American College Campus
I argued that the Jewish community has invented this notion, where some parts of the Jewish community, that what we really need to do is invest in young people to be campus warriors for Israel. I find this phrase astonishing mostly because American Jews don't go to campus to become warriors, they go tocampus to become students. And so, yes, I plead guilty to inconsistencies, but I couldn't imagine living any other way.
