Lamarcism - A Brief Introduction
David's writing about the first attempts to try and understand how it is that biological or isms seem well suited to the environments in which they 're found. And then we move on to lamarcism. David writes, during the early years of the nineteenth century, the naturalist jean baptiste lamark proposed an answer: improvements acquired by an organism can be inherited by its offspring. The latter is a fudge, for not just any complexity could account for the evolution of adaptations.
