Is There a Potential to Scale Renewable Energy in Africa?
In some countries, one has a kind of institutional byas towards fossil fuels and also towards very conventional, old-fashioned ways of thinking about energy provision. Do you see some african countries moving rapidly ahead in, you know, intonew thinking about what energy provision could look like? Yes. L i think thes es, bothatat the continental level, thistisodabroad, a sense that that renewable energy offers, offers opportunities for a lower, lower carbon future. But it also doesn't stop at just increasing your generation capacity. I thinkthe big challenging big parts of parts of africa are going to be to make sure that this is fundamentally linked to structural economic transformation
