The Temple of Finance

The Temple of Finance is what they called it. The building itself had all these different expansions throughout the century and would eventually even need more space. In 1922, they built a new office tower at 11 Broad Street, which they nicknamed the garage. They actually built other trading floors in 1969, 1988, and 2000. All of those trading floors have since been closed because of the increased popularity of electronic trading. It's nice to have this very big solid, grounded building.
