What Is ODD?

ODD stands for oppositional defiant disorder. The DSM manual is a system that just looks at observable behaviors and if you have a certain amount of behaviors that clump together then you get this diagnosis. Tom Insol who was the head of the National Institutes of Mental Health has called into question the Diagnostic Statistical Manual. He says it hasn't been very useful in research or practice.
