Graduate School - What Was It Like?

In those days, a phd program was four years long and there was no post tok. We did our analysis of variants by hand, and think we had a computer terminal installed in the department at one point. I don't think i gave any thought to getting a job or what i would have to do to get a job until pretty much it was upon me in my fourth year of graduate school. So many good ideas just aren't the province of experimental psychology because they're not tractable in terms of experimentation. It's just finding questions worth answering that's hard.
