The Importance of Follow-Up in Antibiotic Use
The rates of neoplasm were very low in the patients who had their appendix removed. The rate is, you know, 0.7 or something like that, less than 1%. It's rare, but it's real. We found six people out of 776 that were randomized to appendectomy. And we found four. There's no increased risk of perforation in patients who have an eventual appendectomy.
