The Anglo-Saxon Migrations in Britain

The Romans were in Britain for about 400 years from 40 AD. When they left, the Romano-British society kind of collapsed. The Anglo-Saxons moved in from regions that are now northwest Germany and southern Denmark. What's interesting is that at most 40% of the DNA of people in modern England is stuff they've inherited from the Saxons.
