In October of last year, frank brune woke up one morning and couldn't see right. He later learned he had suffered a stroke that ravaged the optic nerve behind his right eye. Brune was told there was no treatment for this condition which could leave him legally blind. The book is based on those experiences as well as some other events in his life.
