Why Do Humans Grieve?

Many social mammals do, especially large social mammals who live a long time and have children. In humans, that attachment to our loved ones sets up the brain to be very distraught when that person is no longer there. And so as we are to people in our environment, and our loved ones are as important to us as food and water, i mean, it is really critical for human survival that we have these close loved ones.
