The Elephant and the Rider
I want to build a b s community with you around this, and i want to be accessible, entertaining and educational. Study simply gives one more tools to overcome unconscious urges to conquer temptation. It is a cliche of the b academic or student that they are as susceptible to unconscious bias and irrational behavior as the next person. And i'm no different. I like jonathan hight's metaphor of the elephant and the rider to explain the two compete sides, emotional and rational, of our brain. Here, the emotional side is the elephant, the rational side is the rider, the rider.
