Is Blue Blood a Good Cop?

Blue Blood was a good cop and we knew he thought outside the box sometimes. But to screw up what we thought would be an easy case was beyond the payoff for many of us. Blue Blood basically started listing off all the guys that the daughter had been involved with over the past few years. It didn't pull anything like inappropriate messages from the girl's laptop. Aside from a few clues into the conversations that seemed to show some sort of rocky father-daughter relationship, it was completely clean.
