The norway rat is one of the two most populous rat species. It's bigger, more aggressive and can tolerate colder temperatures than the black rat. The rats started eating at the north american table in the late 17 hundreds. They infested port cities like new york, then moving across the continent with european settlers. And for a long time that was just Stantestante; it has never happened to alberta.
